Beyond Intermittency: How SolarWindBooster Targets 24/7 Renewable Power

Why “more renewables” isn’t enough

Solar and wind are now mainstream, but the grid still struggles with the same core constraint: intermittency. When the sun sets or wind drops, operators must either curtail demand, overbuild generation, or rely on firming resources that add cost and complexity. This is the heart of the “Energy Trilemma”: security, affordability, and sustainability.

What SolarWindBooster (SWB) is

SolarWindBooster (SWB) by Hi-N-Low TECH is a hybrid renewable energy concept that combines hybrid wind, solar PV (light), solar CSP (thermal), and a Special Aerospace Compounder (SAC) into one integrated system. The goal is simple: deliver on-demand, non-intermittent renewable power with a comparatively lower levelized cost of electrical energy (LCoEE).

The SWB approach in plain terms

Instead of treating generation and storage as separate projects, SWB is designed to generate and store multiple forms of energy and then distribute power when it’s needed. The system is built around proven drivetrains and a tri-storage strategy using:

  • Compressed air (medium)
  • Cold liquid air (cryogenic)
  • Hot molten salt (thermal)

By extracting and recirculating mechanical, thermal, chemical, and electrical energies, SWB is positioned to support 24/7/365 renewable supply for grid load planning, EV charging reliability, and household distribution.

Where SWB fits best

SWB is designed for deployment flexibility—from dense urban settings to large-scale wind and offshore environments. Target applications include:

  • Urban self-co-generation for residential and small business
  • On-shore wind farms as a booster/complement to existing assets
  • Off-shore deployments where reliability and logistics matter
  • Mini-grids for communities and industrial sites
  • EV charging hubs that need firm, predictable power

What we’re building at Hi-N-Low TECH

Hi-N-Low TECH, Ltd. is a Nottingham, UK start-up advancing SWB using integrated virtual prototyping and simulation-driven design—aimed at resolving technical and financial issues before manufacturing. A 3D solid model virtual digital concept prototype is ready, and investment materials (pitch deck, business plan, financial model, valuation model) are prepared, with external partners identified including R&D collaboration with the University of Nottingham.

Next steps: partnerships, pilots, and early deployments

If you’re an investor, utility operator, developer, or technology partner exploring firm renewable supply, we’d like to talk. We’re actively engaging on pilots, partnerships, and commercialization pathways.

Reliable renewable energy isn’t just about generating more—it’s about delivering power when and where it’s needed, at a cost that scales.
